The Light Armor skill gives you armor and stamina bonuses for wearing all light armor, can become weightless to not slow you down while walking or sprinting, and even a possibility to evade all damage from melee attacks while wearing all light armor.
Most who would wear light armour would be a thief, an archer, an assassin, and some one-handed warriors. But of course, you are free to blaze your own trail of glory however you see fit.
