Soul Gem

Soul Gems are items used to enchant weapons, armor, and jewelry to give a variety of stat bonuses. The power of the enchantment is dependent on both the enchanter's skill level, and the level of Soul Gem used.

In descending order from weakest to strongest are the following:

• Petty Soul Gem
• Lesser Soul Gem
• Common Soul Gem
• Greater Soul Gem
• Grand Soul Gem
• Black Soul Gem

The Black Soul Gem can hold a Grand Soul at maximum, however, it can be used to capture the soul of Mer or Man, being the only possible way to capture a human soul in the game.
