Windhelm

Windhelm lies to the east of Skyrim in between Winterhold and Riften. The city was formerly the province's capital, and the Palace of Ysgramor still remains as a city landmark.

An Imperial garrison is stationed at Windhelm to keep watch over the pass leading to Morrowind.

Windhelm also serves as the base of the Stormcloak Rebellion, led by Ulfric Stormcloak.
